The touch line (working title)
I have been living in Latvia for three years. As a foreigner, I face many questions (primarily to myself). How can I avoid self-destruction when I am often perceived as a source of destruction and danger? Why am I here and not there? Where am I heading?
When you feel lost somewhere, it seems like the only way out is to keep going. That is what I did. I trusted the choice of the path to the nature and started my journey through a new country along the river and the sea. It gave me the chance to follow the flow not losing solid ground. During last two years I walked along the bank of the Daugava River and along the shore of the Baltic Sea, crossing the country from east to west and from north to south.
The River

"The river has a calming sense of direction that attracts those who have lost faith in where they are going"

"I and my parents hiked along the Daugava, slept next to the river, and went out on rafts to preserve it in our memories however we could.”

- I live here now, I'm interested in understanding.
- Strange.

"It had the most beautiful sites. Then suddenly I see these strange pegs hammered into the field. I started asking around, and it turned out that they were markers for the borders of the flood area”

"The largest oak tree on Dole Island was right next to the home of Vilis Švarcbahs. When this particular tree was felled, the sound could be heard throughout the whole island."
